Rest In Peace, Georgiann Makropoulos

I know that I am not the only one that grieves the loss of our best friend and our sister Georgie.
Her involvement in the professional wrestling industry was one of the most unselfish as well as one of the most loving and helpful. In Astoria , NY we were neighbors, Georgie, her husband George and I. She not only cared about the business that she was involved in, but her community as well. Her interest in people was tireless. Her tolerance toward the young and up and coming talent was next to none. Her concerns for the lives of a lot of us veterans could only be described as the purest form of loyalty, respect and true personification of family and generosity. We are of the same religion and just celebrated our Christmas on January 7th, I have saved every card she has sent me over the years & I will cherish them always.
So long my sister. I love you and will forever miss you!

Farewell to a Friend

All of us at Assault Championship Wrestling are very saddened by the unexpected and untimely death of our friend and colleague, Paul Fuchs a.k.a. Paul E. Normus. He was a part of our team from the beginning and we are grateful for all the fond memories we all shared with him. We will all miss this multi-talented and wonderful man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and fans at this very difficult time.

September 28, 2008 Press Release

Assault Championship Wrestling would like to thank everyone that attended our event today for one of our favorite charities the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. We exceeded our expectations on donations and attendance. The feedback from the fans and from the locker room has been extraordinary. Everything went better than planned and the ACW atmosphere seemed to fall right back into place.

We would like to extend a special thank-you to both Geoff Fox of WTNH Channel 8 News and 106.9 FM WCCC for their never-ending support and contributions leading to today's event. Also, we would like to thank everybody who made a donation to the JDRF today, which made it the success that it was and defined what ACW is about. Not only to entertain our loyal fans, but to entertain our fans with a solid and noble cause.

ACW is back and thriving and we will be announcing information on our next event soon. The sky is the limit!!!

JDRF show Urgent Update

Assault Championship Wrestling would like to proudly and formally announce our return to the Connecticut Independent Wrestling scene. Our first event will be an exhibition event held on Sunday, September 28th, 2008 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The event will now take place at Jason Knight's Impact Central Wrestling Dojo, located at 1844 East Main Street in Waterbury, CT due to circumstances out of our control, being the impeding severe thunderstorms. Doors open at 4:00 pm. This is a FREE event, but we do ask you make a donation of $5.00 or more. This is a great way to kick off our return and a great way to help those in need. All of the superstars of ACW will be present, Including Justin Credible, Jason Knight, Pat Gunner, Sevin Leonard, Super Zeta, AC Coletrain, J-Busta, Chris Mooch, and many others. Our first show will be for a charity event held on Sunday, September 28th, 2008 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Walk for a Cure 2008 in North Haven , CT at Quinnipiac University Campus, 370 Basset Road . This is a great way to kick off our return and a great way to help those in need. This is a free show, but we ask please make a donation to the charity if you can. There is a registration for a three mile walk at 8:00 a.m. and the walk starts at 10:00 a.m. for which ACW superstars will be taking part of. We ask that if you are able to please join along. The professional wrestling starts at 11:30 a.m. You will be seeing ACW superstars of the past and some new up and coming stars from Jason Knight's Impact Central Pro Wrestling Dojo located at 1844 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06705.
